Volunteer Positions - Cat Team

Want to join one of Australias fastest growing rescues?

DRU Animal Rescue have 2 brand new volunteer positions within their exciting new Cat Rescue Crew.

If you love animals, especially cats, we want to here from you. 

YOU MUST BE OVER 18 TO APPLY FOR THIS ROLE

Rescue experience is not required, but willingness to learn IS essential.

 

Administration | Support Role

Do you have Administration experience and are confident with data entry

Are you highly organised and goal driven?

Are you passionate about animal rescue and want to make a real difference?

Are you comfortable conversing with the public and stakeholders via email and phone?

Do you have 1 Hour a day to commit to this role?

Duties include but are not limited to:

  • Data entry into shelter manager platform (this will include foster carers, cat profiles, etc) 

  • Responding to emails and forwarding them through to the necessary point of contact. 

  • Create informative adoption pack (to be discussed)

  • Create foster carer procedures and information pack (to be discussed)

  • Writing procedures for cat team tasks (to be discussed)

  • Writing Job descriptions for cat team positions

  • Filing foster and adoption contracts 

  • Completing change of microchip forms using the pet registry

This volunteer position can be done remotely. A reliable computer and internet connection will be required.

 

Case Manager

Do you love everything about rescue?

Are you highly organised and goal driven?

Do you enjoy talking to people and find it easy to build strong working relationship stakeholders?

Are you comfortable using a computer?

Do you have a drivers licence and access to a reliable vehicle?

Duties include but are not limited to:

  • Working with foster carers and making sure the animal in care is happy and healthy

  • Organise regular photos and updates of animals in your portfolio via foster carers (team available to ensure quality photos)

  • Update online listings for your animals on regular adoption websites

  • Respond to online inquiries and arrange meet and greets for potential adoptions (all potential adoptions to be pre-approved by cat coordinator)

  • Work with DRU marketing & IT to ensure DRU website listings are always up to date

Full training and support will be provided for both positions
